Matching Gifts

Many organizations have a program where they match the charitable contributions made by their employees to qualified tax-exempt organizations such as the Mattamuskeet Foundation, Inc. Before submitting a Patronage Contribution, please check with your Human Resources Department to determine if your employer has a matching gifts program.

Your employer may require prior approval of the charitable organization in order to honor your request for a matching contribution. Contact The Mattamuskeet Foundation office for assistance in gaining approval of the match.

Businesses, manufacturing plants, banks, and other organizations will also be participating as Institutional Partners of the Mattamuskeet Foundation, making their own contributions on an annual basis.

Your participation as a Member and as a Sponsor of the important work of The Mattamuskeet Foundation on an individual level will encourage greater participation by your employer. If your employer is already an Institutional Partner and has a matching gifts program, there should be no problem obtaining approval for matching your Patronage gift Membership dues may not qualify for matching gifts. 

Consider the good you can do by taking full advantage of your employer's matching gift program. If your employer is not already an Institutional Partner of the Mattamuskeet Foundation, please let the foundation know who to contact about this wonderful opportunity to participate in the preservation of American history.
