“Amazing wildlife scenes!” Pungo Lake, located on Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, is in Hyde and Washington Counties of eastern North Carolina. The 2,800-acre lake is the annual wintering spot for thousands of Snow Geese and Tundra Swans. You can see more than two hundred species of birds around the lake, including twenty-six species of migratory waterfowl. Famous for its black bear population, forty species of mammals live in the vicinity of the lake. This video follows the award-winning production, “A Winter Day - Lake Mattamuskeet.” There are no humans in the video and there is no narration only wildlife, the natural sounds of wildlife in surround-sound, and a beautiful music score.
